Cheeseburger Focaccia

Let’s be honest—some nights, all I want is bread. Not a small, dainty slice of toast or a piece of sad sandwich bread. I’m talking about a big, fluffy, salty piece of focaccia. And I don’t want it on the side of anything. It is the dinner.

Sure, I could make a salad, or grill up some veggies, or even throw together a proper meal with all the food groups represented. But, some nights? Some nights, I just want to sit down with a giant slab of bread and call it a day. When that craving hits, this Cheeseburger Focaccia is exactly what I’m making.

It’s the best of both worlds: bread (in all its golden, olive-oil-drenched glory) and cheeseburger toppings. We’re talking caramelized onions, perfectly seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, and burger sauce drizzled over the top because what’s a cheeseburger without it? The focaccia itself is pillowy, with crispy, salty edges, and when you top it with all those cheeseburger vibes, it turns into a meal that’s indulgent without being too much—okay, maybe it’s a little much, but that’s why we love it.

Think of it like this: all the best parts of a cheeseburger, without the lettuce (because let’s be real, that’s just filler), and with way more bread. Plus, you get to skip the whole patty-forming, grilling, flipping situation. We’re just tossing everything onto focaccia, letting it bake until it’s crispy and bubbly, and calling it dinner. No regrets.
